Three German tourism ventures committed to environmental, social and cultural preservation were conferred “Thailand Green Excellence Awards” at a ceremony presided over by Thailand’s Princess Ubolratana at the 2017 edition of ITB Berlin.
The sixth edition of Thailand Green Excellence Awards aimed to reward the commitment and dedication of tour operators as well as travel agents and travel bloggers in Germany who support ecotourism.
In the last decade, Thailand diversified its range of products with TAT embracing sustainability. TAT 2017 campaign theme is about authentic experiences such as community discovery, secondary destinations, street food or agro-tourism among others.
Thailand Green Excellence Awards conferred at ITB Berlin 2017 went to:
- Tischler Reisen, a medium-sized German tour operator specialising in individual Thailand tours and tailor-made programmes both for FITs and groups offering an in-depth insight in Thai culture, enabling its clients to get in touch with Thai local communities
- Explorer Fernreisen, a group of Thailand experts, who assist TAT in building the image of Thailand as a destination of great variety. With their cycling tours to Mae Rim, Phuket, Ko Yao and at Thailand’s border to Myanmar, guests get to know Thailand from a variety of different perspectives.
- Soiblossom Travelblog features Bangkok, Thailand and Asia from a subjective point of view. The Soiblossom Travelblog continuing feature about hotels, sights and special locations, moped tours, Thai food, in particular restaurants in Bangkok.
