Argentina – Increased Exposure for Latin America

With a smart new design, the Argentina stand was located as part of the first ever South American hall at ITB in Hall 23b. As a result, Argentinian co-exhibitors were enjoying increased traffic flows.

“Now [the buyers] are getting here far more easily,” said Diego Naveiro, Commercial Manager of Buenos Aires-based CYNSA tours.

“It’s great for us, we see more people and the people are more keen about discovering more about Latin America,” he added. “So the increased exposure has been the most signi cant change and positive thing about this year.”

With concerns about rising inflation, Argentinian co- exhibitors are letting clients know about a new government initiative to cut the VAT tax on hotel rooms for foreigners, and thus to stay competitive on price. “This has been a great help to encourage people to come to Argentina,” said Naveiro.

He added that Argentinian suppliers were able to promote the first low-cost flights to Argentina starting in mid-2017
